As a Digital Content Journalist, you will report, write, and produce engaging content across web, social, and multimedia formats. You will cover trending topics, break news, and craft compelling narratives optimized for digital platforms. This role demands strong writing, a sharp news sense, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced online environment.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Reporting: Investigate stories, conduct interviews, and verify facts to produce accurate, timely news pieces.
Content Creation: Write articles, create headlines, and develop short‑form copy for social media (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
Multimedia Production: Produce basic video clips, audio snippets, and visual assets to enhance stories (e.g., embed videos, create graphics, edit podcasts).
SEO & Audience Optimization: Apply SEO best practices, keyword research, and analytics to maximize reach and engagement.
Collaboration: Work closely with editors, designers, and product teams to align content with editorial calendars and platform requirements.
Platform Adaptability: Quickly learn and adopt new digital tools, publishing systems, and emerging social platforms.
Breaking News: Monitor news feeds and trends to deliver rapid, accurate coverage of breaking events.
Quality Assurance: Proofread, fact‑check, and ensure all content meets editorial standards and legal guidelines.

Required Qualifications

1–2 years of mixed digital content creation experience with a strong, demonstrable portfolio.
Excellent written communication skills and a keen news judgment.
Proven ability to conduct investigative reporting and produce compelling narratives.
Familiarity with SEO principles, keyword research, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Chartbeat).
Basic multimedia skills: video shooting/editing, audio recording, and visual storytelling.
Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and social media publishing tools.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing news cycles.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data journalism, interactive graphics, or immersive storytelling formats.
Advanced proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) or audio editing (Audacity, Adobe Audition).
